Top Tweets on MS Dhoni retires from Test Cricket: In a surprising news from Down Under, Indian Captain MS Dhoni has retired from Test Cricket and his retirement comes in with immediate effect. BCCI issued a statement saying “One of India’s greatest Test Captains under whose leadership India became the No.1 team in the Test Rankings MS Dhoni, has decided to retire from Test Cricket citing the strain of playing all formats of cricket.”
Virat Kohli, India’s vice-captain will lead India in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy. Virat will captain India in Sydney Test starting from 6th Jan 2015. Also, MS Dhoni will continue to lead India in ODIs and T20s.
MS Dhoni has been under immense pressure from critics for his leadership in Testsespecially overseas. He was often accused of being defensive and letting the hook go off at crucial moments in the game. Pressure surged further on MS Dhoni after Virat Kohli led India well in the first Test against Australia in Brisbane.
