More than 300,000 positive cases of coronavirus have been registered so far.

More than 13,000 patients lost their lives to this pandemic, which the World Health Organisation (WHO) is cautioning the world to be prepared for a long war against. Italy has been hurt the hardest with over 4,800 people dead and more than 50,000 Coronavirus positive cases. They recorded more than 600 patients died in a day, the highest count ever. India, given the fact it has over 1.3 billion people, is sitting on a possible time bomb of the virus spreading rapidly and many experts fear a situation like Italy. The Indian government and health and welfare ministry have asked the citizens to stay indoors and practice safe distancing when going out. All the non-essential shops and markets have been closed except medical stores, dairy stores, and grocery shops.

The India PM Narendra Modi has asked the entire nation to stay indoors on Sunday, March 22 and practice ‘Janta Curfew’. The railway ministry has stopped all long-distance trains in the country. Many of the 29 states have been placed under the entire lockdown to keep the spread of the virus to uncontrollable levels.

Celebrities have been constantly asking the citizens and their fans to practice safe distancing when going outside, avoid unnecessary travel and stay indoors as much as possible. One such celebrity is former India cricket captain Virender Sehwag, who shared a photo of “Keep Distance” on the back of a truck and asked the fans to follow the same.
