And now, it has been revealed that Bana was not the first-choice keeper for the Indian side. In fact, during a Challenger Trophy match between India B and India F, Bana’s friend and teammate Nishant Sindhu told him that the selectors are coming to see him play.
And to that, Bana told Sindhu to just count the sixes that he hits. And, Bana plundered a breathtaking 170 off just 98 deliveries, and his innings consisted of 14 sixes and 10 fours.
“Dinesh Bana was never the first-choice keeper. During the India B vs India F in the Challengers Trophy, his friend Nishant Sindhu told him ‘aaj selectors aane waale hai. Bana replied, ‘Tu bas six count karna aaj mere.’ Bana smashed a 98-ball 170, including 10 fours and 14 sixes,” read a tweet from Pratyush Rai from The Indian Express.
