Twitter broke into a laughter watching Harbhajan Singh’s fitness tactics
Harbhajan recently played for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
Harbhajan Singh has been one of India’s most skilled off-break bowlers and is an owner of over 700 international wickets. Nevertheless, with the emergence of spinners like Ravichandran Ashwin, he moved out of the national selector’s radar in pretty quick time. With an experience of over 350 matches for India, he has been a dependable figure in the country’s bowling setup.
His last international match was versus the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the 2016 Asia Cup in Bangladesh prior to the World T20 in India. The veteran was also a part of that squad but didn’t get an opportunity. He tried his heart out in the domestic circuit, however, hasn’t quite been able to grab the eyeballs of the selectors. He was also released by the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
He played for the franchise for ten seasons ever since the IPL’s inception and was left out by them prior to the auction this season. Subsequently, he was picked up by the Chennai Super Kings and he played 13 matches for them in which could only manage seven wickets. The 37-year-old tweaker also didn’t play the grand finale versus the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mumbai.
Harbhajan’s weird antics
Apart from cricket, the Jalandhar-born spinner also gives efforts to keep himself in shape. The fitness challenge by Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, India’s minister of Youth Affair and Sports, has been trending. Several sportsmen like Saina Nehwal, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir have posted their workout videos on social media, signifying their acceptance to the challenge.
The campaign ‘Hum Fit Toh India Fit’ has been doing the rounds for quite a while now. Meanwhile, Harbhajan has also resorted to the fitness challenge. However, his antics are a tad different from the other sportspersons. He posted a picture of his diet in Twitter
