Twitter disappointed after Ishan Kishan’s exclusion from the match against CSK
Ishan has had to warm the bench thus far in IPL 2019.
Ishan Kishan has been one of the most talented wicketkeeper-batsmen going around in the Indian domestic circuit currently. He captained the India U19 team in 2016 and hasn’t looked back ever since, though he is yet to make his debut for the Indian team. He is currently with the Mumbai Indians (MI), playing the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
However, he hasn’t an opportunity to play in the tournament thus far. Last season, Kishan was one of the brightest prospects in the Mumbai’s setup. The southpaw scored 275 runs in 14 matches at an average of 22.91. Moreover, he scored those runs at a strike-rate of 149.45. His top score of 62 came against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens.
The knock came off only 21 balls and helped his team emerge victorious. Nevertheless, luck hasn’t quite smiled on the Jharkhand cricketer as he has had to warm the benches in the first four games. Ishan played some jaw-dropping knocks for his state in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament, including centuries against Jammu and Kashmir, and Manipur respectively.
Kishan left out yet another time
Prior to this season, Mumbai roped in Quinton de Kock from the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), who traded him. The South African player has been plying his trade for the Mumbai-based franchise and hence, Kishan hasn’t got an opportunity. However, later in the tournament, the youngster would be hoping to break into the eleven and that would be confidence-booster.
As far as a recent development is concerned, Ishant couldn’t find a spot in the team for the match against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), captained by MS Dhoni, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Subsequently, fans are definitely not at all pleased by his exclusion for the contest.
