The International Cricket Council has come up with a throwback video from the 2008 U-19 World Cup. It’s a known fact how brilliantly Virat Kohli led the U-19 Indian side and clinched the World Cup in 2008.

Kohli and a young company defeated South Africa by 12 runs (D/L) in the final. In the video posted by ICC, Kohli can be seen giving his introduction and also named his favourite player. Seeing the old video, fans have gone crazy and have come up with some epic replies to take a dig at him.

The video gives a glimpse of stars who have touched great heights in the world of cricket as of now. In the video, Virat had said, “Virat Kohli. Captain. Right-hand middle-order batsman. Right-arm quick bowler and my favourite cricketer is Herschelle Gibbs.”

It’s a fact that Kohli is a splendid batsman, but after the way he described his bowling techniques, fans have been pulling his leg.

Here’s how the netizens reacted on Virat Kohli’s bowling style:

Over the years, Kohli has developed himself as one of the greatest of the modern-day world. He currently leads the Indian team across all three formats. The batsman has topped the chart of ICC ODI and Test batsman rankings innumerable times, and it speaks a lot about his stature. Popularly known as a run machine, he has pulled the team out of crunch situations many times and continues to be a great skipper.

Kohli is currently in UAE, leading his IPL team, Royal Challengers Bangalore. Brushing off their past reputation, the Virat Kohli-led RCB have played great cricket in IPL 2020 and has sealed a playoffs berth. They are in the fourth position in points tally and will play eliminator against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Even before the start of IPL, great players from RCB like AB de Villers, Yuzvendra Chahal, talked of the fresh feel in their squad. They spoke that their team looks in the best picture for the first time after they played the 2016 finale.

They replicated their statements on-field and came up with some strong performances. It will be a thing to watch whether they can bag their maiden IPL trophy this year or not.
