Cricketers all over the world took a break from their daily schedule to celebrate the festival of Eid-al-Fatr. While social media platforms got flooded with tweets and posts from various cricketers and even footballers all around the globe, it was a treat to see the superstars in a different version of themselves.
Indian speedster Irfan Pathan posted a photo of himself in an all Pathani attire and wished them a happy Eid. He posed with his father and brother Yusuf in other pictures. Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir looked dapper in his Eid look. The immensely talented cricketer posted a picture where he can be seen in a black leather jacket which will make you drool over the cricketer’s sense of fashion. The hero of the 2002 NatWest series final, Mohammad Kaif chose to go with the traditional white kurta and pajama with a cap. He posed with his son Kabir and a few friends while wishing everyone a happy Eid.
Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh were the non-Muslim cricketers who also had a tweet on the beautiful occasion. Cricketers who are currently participating in the Caribbean Premier League celebrated Eid in the West Indies. Afghanistan youngster Rashid Khan and Pakistani unorthodox bowler Sohail Tanvir clicked selfies as they celebrated Eid together. the pictures were posted by the official CPLT20 handle on Twitter.
German and Arsenal footballer Mesut Ozil also wished his fans on the festival. The player highly respects his religion and prays to Allah before the start of every match in his trademark style. He posted a similar picture of himself praying on the field as he wished his fans a happy Eid. English club Liverpool also joined the party with a wish of their own from the club’s official Twitter account.
