One of the most devastating openers of all time Virender Sehwag is no less entertaining on social media than he was on the 22 yards. The world knows him for being merciless to the bowlers and he has maintained his form quite impressively on social media even after hanging up his boots.

The 38-year-old Sehwag is a daily dose of laughter for his fans on twitter but does not keep away from trolling people with his tweets every now and then. Be it a feud with journalist Piers Morgan, or wishing someone on birthday, or expressing his view on a political or social issue, Viru’s tweets are sure to make you laugh your hearts out.

But this time the ex-opener found himself on the wrong side of trolling as his followers absolutely got the wrong meaning of his tweet. This hilarious incident took place when Sehwag took out time to pay his tribute to Naval Ship Virat which will pull out from service on March 6 which is a Monday.

Along with a picture of the ship, he tweeted:“Virat retires tomorrow. Old ships never die, their spirits live on. #INSViraat -serving Indian Navy for 30 yrs to be decommissioned tomorrow”.

On reading the tweet his followers were in a state of shock and went berserk as they mistook it for Indian skipper Virat Kohli who is currently playing in the ongoing Test series against Australia. It was tough for the twitter addicts to digest the fact that India’s most promising player will call it a day from cricket at a point in his career when he is enjoying such a high. Given below are the best tweets that caught our eye in response to Viru paaji’s tweet on #INSVirat which has served the Indian Navy for 30 years.
