Twitter hails Virat Kohli for his decision to play County Cricket before England tour

Virat Kohli has decided to feature in the County Cricket this year ahead of the stern England tour in July. His poor record in the country is the only blip in his already illustrious career and the Indian captain doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned in his preparations for the tour. However, as soon as the news of him participating in County Cricket for Surrey broke out, Twitter was filled with the tweets which praised Kohli for his brave decision.

Though by playing in the domestic cricket in England, Virat Kohli is set to miss the historic Test match against Afghanistan by might miff some of their fans as well. The match will be played on June 14 in Bangalore at Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Virat Kohli is well known about his shortcomings in England as James Anderson was his nemesis when India toured the country last time in 2014. Ever since then, the cricketer has ruled the World cricket by scoring an abundance of runs across all the formats. Though he is still accused of not being able to perform against quality swing bowling of England in their own den. It is clear with his decision now that he badly wants to prove everyone wrong and win the Test series against England by leading from the front.

Reportedly, Kohli will make himself available for Surrey in County Championship this year from June 9 to June 28. He will play in three matches against Hampshire, Somerset and Yorkshire before the actual tour of England commences with T20 Internationals. His stint with Surrey will surely help him resolve few technical glitches in his batting and England might face an entirely new form of his batting this time around.
