Virat Kohli thrives in leading as an example on the field with his willow. Even when India is bowling, he likes to contribute with his efforts in the fielding department. However, this time around Kohli has proved that he is an ideal captain even off the field with his lovely gesture towards his teammates. On overseas tours, the captain always gets the business class seat while travelling from one venue to other.

Accordingly, the 30-year-old had to go in the privileged area along with his wife and Bollywood Diva Anushka Sharma when it came to the teams moving from Adelaide to Perth for the second Test. But then the couple gave up their seats for the Indian fast bowlers who toiled hard in the Adelaide heat in the series opener. Business Class seats provide extra leg room and it helps the bowlers to relax a bit while travelling as well.

Heart-winning gesture

This gesture from Virat Kohli towards his teammates has won the hearts of the fans. Also, the move makes sense given the fact that India bowled a massive 218.3 overs in the first Test. Moreover, they played with only four specialist bowlers in Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravi Ashwin. Murali Vijay was the part-time bowler used at times who bowled eight overs.

Ashwin, on the other hand, bowled more than 80 overs while the other three fast bowlers shared the workload of 132 overs and managed to pick all 20 wickets of the opposition. They tirelessly toiled in the second innings especially when the Aussie lower-order showed extreme resistance and won the game for India.

Ravi Shastri, after the match, was extremely delighted with that effort and when asked about the quick turnaround for the second Test said, “To hell with the nets, they need rest.” Even Kohli lauded his bowlers and was effusive in praise and his gesture proves that he values his team more than anything and even Twitterati believes the same now.
