MS Dhoni didn’t have the best of campaigns in the World Cup and took a two-month break from cricket in order to serve the Indian Army. The veteran isn’t a part of the Indian cricket team, which is currently in the West Indies for the ODI series. Rishabh Pant is in the Caribbean Islands and it has been communicated that Dhoni would be part of the transition process from here onwards.
MS Dhoni performing his duties diligently
Bipin Rawat, the Indian Army chief, said that Dhoni has the required training. Dhoni’s journey on the battlefield started on July 31 and he’ll be serving his nation until August 15, India’s day of independence. Dhoni is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army unit of the Parachute Regiment (106 Para TA battalion). He got the title in 2011 along with Abhinav Bindra and Deepak Rao.
He became a paratrooper in 2015 after he completed five parachutes jump. Recently, Dhoni was seen trying his hand at volleyball with the army personnel. Lately, the Article 370, which gave special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir, was abolished. Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, put forth the development in the Rajya Sabha. The fans even managed to connect the move and Dhoni.
His admirers felt that their hero finished it off once again, this time off the field. Dhoni is currently in Kashmir and fans lauded him. Another development surrounding Dhoni has come to the fore. A picture is doing rounds on social media where Dhoni can be seen polishing his own shoes.
It pretty much shows the kind of dedication and humility Dhoni has even outside the cricket pitch. The supporters couldn’t stop showering praises on the Jharkhand-born for performing his day-to-day duties with sheer discipline.
