History was recreated at the Leeds Stadium as Windies marched onto a solid victory successfully chasing a target of 322 on Day 5. At the beginning of the day, not many would’ve thought Windies would go all the way against an attack that comprised of James Anderson and Stuart Broad.
Earlier in the day, Kieran Powell was dismissed fresh in the morning as Ben Stokes held onto one giving Broad his first wicket. Soon after, Kyle Hope was gone for a duck as he was run out by Stuart Broad leaving the Caribbeans reeling at 53/2. Many would’ve expected the visitors to fold up before tea. However, something extraordinary happened.
What followed was an unbelievable 144-run partnership for the third wicket between Kraigg Brathwaite and Shai Hope. Brathwaite scored a sensational 95 missing out on a century as he fell prey to Moeen Ali. However, Hope continued to stay around until the end as he smashed a brilliant century.
Roston Chase managed to hang on to the crease for a while as he scored 30. Chris Woakes later provided the breakthrough to create some hope for the hosts. However, Jermaine Blackwood batted fearlessly as he alongside Shai Hope finished things in style for the Windies. They went on to win the game by 6 wickets.
With the series squared 1-1 at the moment, both teams would travel to London for the decider. The West Indies have shown great character in coming back and chasing 322 on the last day and fans would be hoping to see an interesting contest in the final Test between both the teams.
From admiration for the duo of Kraigg Brathwaite and Shai Hope to trolling English fielders for their Akmalesque fielding, Twitter didn’t leave any stone unturned as the events transgressed.
Here we present you some of the amazing Twitter reactions that surfaced during the course of the game:
Perhaps England want 4 day tests, so that they don't lose many in the 5th day?
Anyone think the same?

Huge moment in contemporary West Indies cricket. The stunning arrival of the very impressive Shai Hope. Now to do it more frequently

If the Windies are still roughly on target at the end of this session I wonder if we'll see Blackwood come in. Heck of a Test, this. #ENGvWI

For non-cricket fans, West Indies were 30-1 against winning this Test in a two-horse race. That's how amazing their achievement was. #WivEng
