Twitter Reactions: Corey Anderson's heroics pave way for Kiwis to complete 3-0 whitewash

The crowd at Bay Oval witnessed allrounder Corey Anderson lead the Kiwis to a 3-0 whitewash over Bangladesh. The visitors are yet to win a single game on the tour. Earlier in the day, it was Mashrafe Mortaza who won the toss as Bangladesh elected to field first.
While the New Zealand side had an unchanged XI from their last game, Bangladesh had Taskin Ahmed coming in for Mustafizur Rahman. It was a dead rubber as they seemed to play for pride. However, it didn’t end up in their favour yet again.
NZ were looking good before Rubel struck twice in an over to send back both Jimmy Neesham and last game’s hero Colin Munro. Bruce got out to Mosaddek as Kiwis were left reeling at 41/3. From there on, Kane Williamson and Corey Anderson piled up a 124-run partnership to swing the pendulum in New Zealand’s favour.
While Williamson raced his way to a run a ball 60, it was Anderson who was the hero with a brilliant 94 (41)* in an innings which had 10 maximums and 2 boundaries. Powered by the duo, the hosts ended up scoring 194/4 in their quota of 20 overs.
For Bangladesh, Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar ensured they were off to a flier. At one stage, Bangladesh seemed well on course of the target with 69/1 at the end of the powerplay. However once the spinners took control, runs slowed down.
Sarkar’s wicket paved way for the NZ bowlers to apply the brakes into the Bangladesh innings. Shakib put up a tremendous display but it was already too late as wickets kept falling at regular intervals.
In the end, the visitors fell 27 runs short of the Black Caps’ total, thus losing the series 3 nil. Ish Sodhi was the pick of the bowlers with a couple of wickets. Corey Anderson was undoubtedly awarded the man of the match for his match-winning innings.
Twitter kept everyone entertained throughout the inconsequential T20 game. Anderson was lauded for his splendid effort while Bangladesh bowlers were trolled for leaking runs. Here are some of the amazing twitter reactions that took place during the course of the game:
The last time Bangladesh won a game, 90% of Indians didn't know what demonetisation was & Trump was expected to lose. #NZvBAN

The best of Tamin- dancing down the pitch to Boult at 147kph.
The worst of Tamin- mistiming pull 2 balls later. 1/44. #BANvNZ @JarrodPotter— Arj's Eye (@ArjGiese) January 8, 2017
Incredible innings by Anderson. Well supported by Williamson. Watching that makes being up this hour worth it #BANvNZ

From 55-3 in 10 overs to 194-4 in T20. Horrible bowling from Bangladesh in the last 10 overs. Great acceleration from NZ. #BANvNZ #NZvBAN
