The upcoming inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 has fans buzzing across the globe. Global stars like Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, and Meg Lanning will be going head-to-head as their respective franchises face each other in the most eagerly awaited tournament.

Recently, one of the most popular franchises of the tournament, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), came forward to reveal their jersey for the upcoming inaugural season of the WPL. Recently, the team assembled in Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium as they began preparations for their first match of the season.

RCB have one of the strongest squads ahead of inaugural WPL

Royal Challengers Bangalore were one of the biggest spenders at the WPL auctions. They will be fielding the likes of Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, Sophie Devine, and Ellyse Perry as well.

From how they went big with the spending, RCB will be hoping that their decision comes through when they are on the field as well. It could be interesting to see how the players work with each other as the inaugural WPL gets underway on March 4. The likes of Dané van Niekerk, Erin Burns have joined the squad and they were shortly followed by skipper Smirti Mandhana who joined the preparations recently.

The Bangalore-based side will be playing their first match of the tournament against Delhi Capitals on March 5 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. They will hope that they can get off to a winning start against DC. Led by Smriti Mandhana, RCB's squad is filled with leaders, and the different mindsets and inputs from various players could go a long way in their quest for victory.
