Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper Pat Cummins chose to bowl after winning the toss against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) led by Ruturaj Gaikwad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Sunday. Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad played an invincible innings that helped CSK reach 212 runs in the allotted 20 overs. CSK are now on the third place in the points table after beating SRH by 78 runs. 

It is a rare occasion that Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma could not perform well for their team against CSK. It can be said that SRH batters were put to the test because chasing 200+ runs on a slow pitch like Chepauk is not easy.

1. Ruturaj Gaikwad's fiery innings 

Chennai Super Kings' skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad showed a class batting against the SRH batters on Sunday. He scored 98 runs off 54 balls with a strike rate of 181.48. The batter ran short of just 2 runs from reaching  his third century in IPL.  


2. CSK bowler Tushar Deshpande with his golden touch

Tushar Deshpande took a 4-wicket haul against SRH. He broke the spine of SRH's batting lineup by dismissing the in-form batters Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma at 13 and 15 runs respectively. His spell against SRH on Sunday gave a boost to the Chennai Super Kings that also helped them win by 78 runs. 


3.  Ravindra Jadeja's economical spell

Chennai Super Kings' all time saviour Ravindra Jadeja bowled an maginificent spell of 1/22 in four overs helpoed beat SRH easily in the high-run chase. He has been very economical in Sunday's match against Sunrisers Hyderbad.
