Delhi Capitals (DC) hosted the indomitable Rajasthan Royals (RR) for the 56th match of the Indian Premier League at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi. RR skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bowl against the home team. Delhi Capitals put up a target of 222 runs for the mighty Royals. Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abhishek Porel scored 50 (20) and 65 (36) respectively.
The invincible Rajasthan Royals were given their third loss of the season by Delhi Capitals. Sanju Samson played a captain's knock for Rajasthan Royals, scoring 86 runs off just 46 balls but was unfortunately caught by Shai Hope in Mukesh Kumar's over. DC players did an extraordinary job at defending the total against RR. After Tuesday's win, DC move up to the fourth position sending LSG to fifth.

1. DC Openers off to a good start
The Delhi Capitals openers started well against Rajasthan Royals. Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abhishek Porel hit off well for the team as they scored 50 and 65 runs respectively. Later on, Tristan Stubbs also scored 41 off just 20 balls against RR.

2. Sanju Samson's blazing 86
Rajasthan Royals' skipper Sanju Samson has been showing a class game from his end this IPL season. On Tuesday, against Delhi Capitals as well he played a captain's knock by scored 86 runs off just 46 balls. He was unstoppable against the DC bowlers but unfortunately, Mukesh Kumar came up with a plan and dismissed him. However, his controversial dismissal when he was caught by Shai Hope at the boundary led to discussion whether it was a six or a wicket.

3. Man of the Match- Kuldeep Yadav
Delhi Capitals' star bowler Kuldeep Yadav was on fire on Tuesday during the match against Rajasthan Royals. His spell of 2/25 helped DC beat the Royals by 20 runs. He was given the bowl in the 18th over which was a crucial one when RR needed 41 runs off 18 balls which was not impossible as Rovman Powell was on the crease, he took 2 wickets and gave DC a stand to stay in the playoffs race.
