IPL 2024: KKR vs SRH Qualifier 1 Highlights: Unmissable video recap, turning points, match analysis, stats and more

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) exchanged blows in Qualifier 1 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, on (Tuesday) May 21. SRH won the toss and opted to bat first. KKR bowlers exerted dominance against a strong Hyderabad batting lineup. On the back of a half-century from Rahul Tripathi and a late onslaught from Pat Cummins, SRH posted a below-par 159 losing all their wickets.

Chasing a gettable target KKR openers provided a solid start but failed to keep going. Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer notched up half-centuries each and took the team to the finals of IPL 2024. KKR chased down the target in just 13.4 overs and eight wickets to spare. On the other hand, SRH will play Qualifier 2 on May 24 and await their opponent until then.

1. Mitchell Starc sends Travis packing on a duck

Mitchell Starc found his mojo at the right time in IPL 2024. He bowled the first ball of the innings and extracted some swing. He made use of that tool and dislodged Head’s wicket on the subsequent delivery. The fuller delivery that swung outward after pitching did the trick for KKR.

Shreyas Iyer took charge of KKR’s innings after the openers were back in the hut. Travis came out to bowl the 14^th over when Kolkata needed 18 runs to win. Iyer smashed the first four deliveries for 22 runs and the last maximum sealed KKR’s spot in the finals of IPL 2024
