Let’s take a look at the highlights from the match:
1. DC bowlers put on early pressure on RR
After opting to bowl first, Delhi Capitals bowlers got their team off to a good start by not allowing Rajasthan openers to find easy boundaries. Mukesh Kumar started the proceedings by dismantling Yashasvi Jaiswal’s (5 off 7) stumps in the second over while Khaleel Ahmed made RR captain Sanju Samson (15 off 14) edge one to the wicketkeeper. Kuldeep Yadav further piled on the misery by trapping Jos Buttler (11 off 16) in front of the stumps to leave RR on 36/3 after 7.2 overs.
2. Riyan Parag rescues Rajasthan’s innings
The 22-year-old walked in to bat inside the powerplay after captain Samson got dismissed in the last over of the powerplay. Parag batted cautiously early on scoring just 15 runs off the first 19 balls but later got a move on after smashing Kuldeep Yadav for a six. The right-handed batter gradually built momentum in his innings and registered his best-ever IPL score of 84* (45) with the help of seven fours and six sixes to give RR a strong finish.

He first dismantled the stumps of Mitchell Marsh in the fourth over of the innings and three balls later bounced out Ricky Bhui to leave DC reeling at 30/2 after 3.4 overs.
