Valentine’s Day is a day when love is celebrated all over the world. From common people to famous celebrities, no one fails to express their feelings for their loved ones on the special day.

Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw also did not hold back and went on to wish his beloved through his Instagram story. He shared a photograph with actor Nidhhi Ravi Tapadiaa and wrote ‘Happy valentines my wifey @nidhhitapadiaa’. However, the Indian opening batter deleted the story a few minutes later, raising speculations on social media.

Earlier, Shaw had also posted photographs with the actor during a New Year party this year. Meanwhile, the 23-year-old recently found a place in the Indian team after one and a half years as he was selected in the three-match T20I series against New Zealand. However, Shaw failed to find a place in the XI as the team management persisted with the opening duo of Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill.

As the pcitures went viral, the cricketer issued a clarification saying "someone is editing my pics and showing stuffs that I haven't put on my story or on my page. So ignore all the tags and msges thx."

Shaw was brought into the side after he scored a sensational 379 against Assam in the Ranji Trophy. He scored a magnificent 379 off just 383 balls with the help of 49 fours and four sixes and went past Sanjay Manjrekar's 377 against Hyderabad in the 1990-91 season to the record second-highest individual score in the history of Ranji Trophy. Notably, B B Nimbalkar holds the record with his unbeaten knock of 443.

The 23-year-old last played for India in July 2021 against Sri Lanka. Shaw has played five Tests so far scoring 339 runs at an average of 42.37 with one hundred and two fifties to his name. He has also represented India in six ODIs where he has scored 189 runs at an average of 31.50 and a strike rate of 113.85. He has played one T20I where he failed to score a single run in his innings.

Meanwhile, Twitter was abuzz with reactions on Prithvi Shaw's Valentines day story:
