India as a country is shattered after a devastating militant attack happened in the Baisaran meadow near Pahalgam, Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir. As per reports, 28 tourists lost their lives and around 20 people were injured in the attack.
The victims went to Jammu and Kashmir to enjoy their holidays, which turned into a nightmare. There were many people from states including Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Gujarat, Haryana, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh. Apart from them, two foreigners from Nepal and the United Arab Emirates were also killed.
This attack happened around 3 PM on April 22. After the Pulwama terrorist strike in 2019, this was one of the most devastating attacks in the region. After the attack, many Indian cricketers like Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Pathiv Patel, and Virat Kohli expressed their heartfelt condolences for the victims and the survivors.
The players took to their social media accounts condemning the horrific act of terrorism. This act of terrorism has shaken the entire country to the core.
