After inviting Chennai Super Kings to bat first, the encounter between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) turned out to be a high-scoring affair. Courtesy of fireworks from Ajinkya Rahane, Devon Conway and Shivam Dube, Super Kings posted a gigantic total of 226/6. But as we know it is hard to predict any score at the iconic M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, some explosive batting was definitely on the cards from the hosts as well.
In the same vein, after having lost Virat Kohli and Mahipal Lomror's wickets early, skipper Faf du Plessis and big-hitter Glenn Maxwell took matters into their hands. At that stage, RCB were struggling at 15/2. Thereafter, it was the du Plessis-Maxwell batting show. They looked in some destructive mood and just whacked the CSK bowlers all over the park for fun.
The magnitude of their explosive batting can be understood by the fact that they together stitched a game-changing stand of 126 runs for the third wicket in a matter of 10 overs. Their partnership was broken in the 12th over of the run chase, as Maxwell miscued Theekshana's delivery while going for a wild swing, only to hand a little tricky catch to the Chennai skipper MS Dhoni.
Consequently, their electrifying batting left the cricket fans in awe of them and they couldn't hold themselves back from sharing their sheer ecstasy on Twitter.
