The ongoing T20I series between Pakistan and Afghanistan saw the hosts clinch a historic win after winning the first two matches of the series. After bundling Pakistan out for just 92 runs in the first T20I, they managed a comfortable run chase.
As the second T20I came along, Pakistan looked to make a comeback to level the series at 1-1. Batting first, the visitors improved on their performance from the first match, scoring 130 runs in the first innings. However, they started rather badly as they lost 2 wickets without even opening their account on the scoreboard. Farooqui gave early jolts to the visitors in the form of Ayub and Shafique. Imad Wasim’s unbeaten knock of 64 runs was integral for Pakistan. Moreover, Wasim and skipper Shadab Khan stitched a crucial 67-run stand to guide the visitors to a respectable score. Fazalhaq Farooqi took two wickets in the four overs he bowled, conceded 19 runs in the process, and was the key bowler for Afghanistan in the first innings.
As Pakistan looked to defend their total and level the series, Afghanistan came in to bat with a totally different plan in mind. The visitors got off to a fabulous start to the game as Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored a brilliant 44 runs in 29 deliveries to give the hosts just the start that they needed.
Following that, Ibrahim Zadran also played beautifully as he scored 38 runs to propel the hosts even closer to victory. In the end, Afghanistan managed to score 133 runs to clinch the T20I series 2-0.

As Afghanistan have already clinched the first two matches and won the series, Pakistan will look to go into the third and final T20I and go all out to win the game as they will be desperate to avoid a clean sweep.
After their loss in the second T20I, many fans took to Twitter as they trolled the players for the humiliating loss to Afghanistan.
