England (ENG) and Namibia (NAM) continued their ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 campaign by taking on each other. Both sides locked horns at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua, in the 34th game of the tournament on Saturday, June 15. The game began with England coming in to bat first after losing the toss. The three Lions got off to a subpar start as openers Phil Salt and Jos Buttler were sent packing for 11 and zero runs, respectively.

Jonny Bairstow amassed 31 runs to his name, along with Harry Brook, who scored 47* runs in 20 deliveries. Furthermore, Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone scored 16 and 13 runs on the board, respectively, as England posted a total of 122 runs in the first innings of the game.
As for Namibia, Ruben Trumpelmann was the highest wicket-taker for his side, with two wickets to his name. David Wiese and Bernard Scholtz took one wicket each as Namibia restricted England to a chaseable target.

Aiming to chase down the target, Namibia got off to a subpar start to the second innings. Openers Michael van Lingen and Nikolaas Davin scored 33 and 18 runs, respectively. David Wiese scored 27 runs in 12 deliveries, alongside skipper Gerhard Erasmus, who stayed unbeaten by a score of one run.
As for England, Jofra Archer and Chris Jordan were the only wicket-takers for the side, with one wicket each. As rain interrupted play, a full game was not possible. Namibia only managed to score 84 runs in 10 overs and lost three wickets in the process, as England won the game by the DLS method by 41 runs.
