India Women's U19 beat South Africa Women's U19 by nine wickets to retain the title
The India women retained the U19 Womens T20 Cup title in Malaysia after beating South Africa in the summit clash at Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur. It was another stellar performance from the Nikki Prasad-led side who had a historic run as they remained unbeaten throughout the tournament.
South Africa skipper Kayla Reyneke won the toss and chose to bat but the decision backfired as the batters failed to deliver. The Indian spinners created plenty of problems for their opponents, with Mieke van Voorst being the highest run-getter with 23 off 18. It was a collective bowling performance from the Indian team as Paruniuka Sisodia (2/6 in four overs), Aayushi Shukla (2/9 in four overs), Vaishnavi Sharma (2/23 in four overs) and Gongadi Trisha (3/15 in four overs) ensured that South African could never come into the game, getting dismissed for a paltry 82.

There were some impressive performances from India U19 players in the tournament but the star of the campaign was Trisha for her great all-round performances. She amassed 309 runs in seven innings at an whopping average of 77.25 and also scalped seven wickets in what was a dream tournament for her.
Her contributions were enough to claim the Player of the Tournament award. Trisha also became the first centurion in the history of the Women's U19 T20 World Cup when she scored an unbeaten 110 against Scotland.
