Twitter Reactions: India women maintain dominance on Day 2 against England women with sensational bowling
India women led by 478 runs by the time Day 2 of the sole Test ended.

Day 2 of the ongoing only Test between India women and England women saw the hosts maintain their dominance. After posting a mammoth total of 410 runs on the board and losing seven wickets on Day 1. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side only added 18 runs to the board before they were bundled out.
Having posted 428 runs in the first innings, India women followed it up with brilliant performances with the ball. England women got off to a horrid start as their top-order failed to go big. Tammy Beaumont, Sophia Dunkley, and Heather Knight scored 10, 11, and 11 runs, respectively.
Nat Sciver-Brunt was the highest run-getter, with 59 runs to her name. However, none of the other batters were able to perform to the best of their abilities. Bundling out England women for just 136 runs, India maintained their mammoth lead.
In the first innings, Deepti Sharma was the highest wicket taker with five wickets to her name; Sneh Rana took two, with Renuka Singh and Pooja Vastrakar striking once each.
Coming out to bat in the second innings, India women put on another show for the fans. Opening the innings, Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana scored 33 and 26 runs, respectively. Yastika Bhatia failed to go big, as she was sent back to the pavilion for just nine runs.
In-form Jemimah Rodrigues also only managed to score 27 runs in 29 deliveries. Day 2 of the clash ended with Harmanpreet Kaur and Pooja Vastrakar on the crease. Harmanpreet Kaur scored 44* runs in 67 deliveries, with Vastrakar unbeaten at 17 runs.
India women found themselves on a total of 186 runs with the loss of six wickets when Day 2 of the one-off Test ended. With a lead of 478 runs, India will look to maximise the lead and post a huge target for England women to chase down.
