India beat Australia by 44 runs in the second T20I on Sunday, November 26 at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. After being put in to bat first, India posted a mammoth score of 235/4 in their allotted 20 overs. In reply Australia were restricted to 191/9 in their allotted 20 overs.
The Aussies got off to a decent start in their chase as Matthew Short (19 off 10) and Steven Smith (19 off 16) added 35 runs for the first wicket off 17 balls. However, Indian bowlers struck back with four quick wickets to leave them on 58/4 after 7.2 overs. An 81-run partnership off 38 balls between Marcus Stoinis (45 off 25) and Tim David (37 off 22) kept Australia in the game.

Their partnership was brought to an end as Bishnoi dismissed David to pick his third wicket of the match (3/32, 4 overs). Following that, there was no recovery from Australia as captain Matthew Wade was the lone warrior with his unbeaten knock of 42* (23).

Yashasvi is a ⭐️

The most exciting batting talent in the country.
May he continue to bat with the same freedom and fearlessness. And I hope Indian cricket is willing to accommodate an occasional poor-run in T20s, for that’s the nature of the beast. #IndvAus
Meanwhile, amidst the retentions and trades, Yashasvi Jaiswal has smashed 53(25). And out getting a move on. Kind of player you want, always taking the game forward.
