Twitter Reactions: Krunal Pandya's all-round show helps LSG blow away SRH in Match 10
Lucknow Super Giants beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets.
The action continued in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League on Friday, April 7 as Lucknow Super Giants locked horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 10 at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Sunrisers Hyderabad finally had their captain in their camp as Aiden Markram won the toss and elected to bat first.
SRH openers Anmolpreet Singh and Mayank Agarwal couldn’t get their team off to a good start as they could only add 21 runs for the first wicket. Krunal Pandya struck the first blow for Lucknow as he dismissed Agarwal for just eight runs. He further got rid of well-set Anmolpreet and captain Markram for a golden duck to leave SRH reeling at 50/3 after eight overs.
Rahul Tripathi tried to stabilise the innings with his knock but just couldn’t get going as he fell prey to Yash Thakur after scoring 34 off 41 balls. All of Hyderabad’s batters couldn’t get used to the slow track as Lucknow’s spinners kept charging at them one after the other.
A late flourish from Abdul Samad who scored 21 off 10 balls took SRH to a total of 121/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Pandya was the pick of the bowlers from Lucknow as he finished his spell with figures of 3/18 in four overs while Amit Mishra also picked up 2/23 in four overs.
In reply, LSG’s openers captain KL Rahul and Kyle Mayers came out with an all-out intent and started attacking right from the word go. They added 35 runs for the first wicket off 27 balls. Fazalhaq Farooqi got the first success for SRH dismissing the in-form batter Mayers for 13. Lucknow lost another wicket inside the powerplay as Bhuvneshwar Kumar got rid of Deepak Hooda in the sixth over.

He added 55 runs for the third wicket along with captain Rahul off 38 balls to take LSG closer to victory. Pandya departed after scoring 34 off 23 balls as Umran Malik got the third strike for SRH.
At the other end, Rahul continued his innings and went on to score 35 off 31 balls before losing his wicket to Adil Rashid. Lucknow lost another wicket in the form of Romario Shepherd before Nicholas Pooran and Marcus Stoinis finished the game with four overs to spare.
