Star India batter Virat Kohli turns 35 today as wishes pour in for him from the cricket fraternity and fans alike ahead of the much-awaited clash with South Africa in the ODI World Cup 2023 at the iconic Eden Gardens, in Kolkata. For an icing on the cake, the birthday can get even more special as the 'chaster master' is on the verge of equalling the record of most ODI centuries with none other than 'God of cricket' - Sachin Tendulkar. Notably, Kohli is currently behind the Master Blaster with 48 hundreds.

Interestingly enough, the Cricket Association of Bengal President, Snehashish Ganguly, earlier today revealed that there are several plans under the pipe for 'King Kohli'. Eden Gardens where the high octane between Team India and Proteas will be played, the rumours are rife in the cricket corridor that the ace batter will be gifted a golden bat by CAB. Meanwhile, speaking of Kohli's midas touch in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023, the 35-year-old has been rock solid but missed out on scoring centuries on two occasions.

In his illustrious international cricket career, Virat Kohli has featured in 514 games, whereby, he has amassed 26'209 runs for India. When it comes to the 16th edition of the ongoing ODI World Cup, King Kohli has scored 442 runs from seven appearances. During these games. quite incredibly, Kohli has maintained a staggering average of 88.40. Therefore, the prolific batter will look to make his day even more 'special' by scoring his 49th ODI century to share the world record for most ODI hundreds with none other than the former India legend, Sachin Tendulkar.
