Delhi Capitals Women (DC-W) continued their winning run in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 with a 25-run victory over Gujarat Giants (GG-W) on Sunday, March 03 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. After being put in to bat first, Delhi rode on their captain Meg Lanning’s half-century and posted a decent total of 163/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Meghna Singh was the pick of the bowlers for Gujarat with a four-wicket haul (4/37).
In reply, Gujarat could only reach 138/8 in their 20 overs with only Grace Harris showing some fight with her innings of 40 (31). Apart from her, no other batter from her side could surpass the 15-run mark which became a massive reason behind their loss. Jess Jonassen and Radha Yadav picked three wickets each for Delhi.

Gujarat Giants' game plan: Forget intent, embrace questionable aggression, and hope for the best.

A non existent lower middle order and the release of valuable players like Kim Garth only adds to the frustration. #GGvDC
