'You lost to England at home' -Fans hit back at Pakistani actress for asking India to lose WC clash
The actress' comments came after India lost to Australia in the first T20I fixture
It was an action-packed Tuesday night as it was not just Australia and India who locked horns, but there was cricketing action in Pakistan too as they hosted England in their T20I series opener. Interestingly, the visitors of both the games won while chasing the target, as Australia defeated India by four wickets, and England defeated Pakistan by six wickets.
But apart from the cricketing action, there was a lot much happening on Twitter, when the Indian cricket fans trolled a Pakistani actress for her comments on the Men in Blue. India posted a big total of 208 runs against the visitors, but Australia went on to chase it in the final over and clinched the first win of the series, with four balls to spare.
India allrounder Hardik Pandya, who notched up his highest T20I score on Tuesday evening, posted some pictures of himself and the team on Twitter captioning it: “We’ll learn. We’ll improve. A big thanks to all our fans for your support, always.” Actress Seher Shinwari commented on his tweet to troll the team and said: “Please lose next match to Pakistan on 23rd October you will learn more from it.”
Her comments were not just restricted to the reply, as she also posted a couple more tweets trolling India. The Indian cricket fans fumed seeing her remarks and took a dig at her by massively trolling her. One of the Twitter users replied to her tweet and said: “Wow you are watching Indian cricket even though Pakistan is Playing in your country..That's the brand India has set in the world cricket.”
In Pakistan vs England game, only Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed batted well for their side, with skipper Babar Azam bagging some decent runs. Ahmed played a quick knock of 28(17) before being dismissed but hit three sixes during his time on the field after Rizwan had lost his wicket scoring a half-century. They posted a 159-run target which England chased down to win the game.
The Twitter users did not hold themselves back and gave some befitting replies to the actress. Here’s how they reacted:
