Years keep passing by, and David Warner just keeps getting better and better. His reputation as a fearless striker of the ball and as a swashbuckling opener has remained the same over the years. He has hardly failed to produce a kickstart to the Australian innings which has given the command to the middle order to topple the opposition.
The Australian vice-captain had the highest run tally in ODIs last year. He has continued his great run into 2017 as well. Following the century in the last game, Warner went on to score his 13th One-Day International hundred. What more, it was his fastest hundred in ODIs spanning 78 balls. In his magnificent innings of 179 runs from just 128 balls, he displayed his dominance on the bowlers with 19 boundaries and 5 maximums.
The Pakistani fielders again contributed full heartedly in the opposition’s favour. Dropping Warner on zero is a huge crime and one you just don’t commit. Warner got another life when he was on 130. By the time, he was out, the damage was done. Even Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur couldn’t help but slam his head on the abysmal fielding.
The Adelaide Oval couldn’t help but marvel at the consistency David Warner has shown in recent times. He also managed to equal Sachin Tendulkar’s record of hitting 5 scores of 150+ in ODIs. While Warner was the centre of attraction, his opening partner Travis Head also garnered lots of accolades for his hundred.
The opening pair compiled a 284 runs partnership for the first wicket, just creating an Australian record. They fell short of just two runs to break the 11-year-old record held by Jayasuriya – Tharanga.
Twitter was quite attentive with the Australia-Pakistan game. The Australian batting and the Pakistan fielding has hardly failed to produce entertainment. David Warner’s scintillating knock kept the home crowd entertained on the special occasion of Australian day.
Here are some of the amazing Twitter reactions that took place during the course of the game:
Brutal from Warner. No better way to mark a key date in British colonialist history than by subjecting an Asian nation to misery. #AUSvPAK

When you wake up late for an Indian match.
'Is Dhawan already out?'
For an Australian game.
'Has Warner already scored a century?' #AUSvPAK— Sameer Allana (@HitmanCricket) January 26, 2017
Warner should score 100 more batting right handed.

FUN FACT: If you piled all of Warner’s century leaps on top of one another, he’d be able to clear Billy Stanlake. #funfact
