The Royal Challengers Bangalore took on the Delhi Daredevils at the Chinnaswamy stadium in a thrilling contest. Zaheer Khan won the toss as DD chose to field first. RCB brought in David Wiese while Mohammad Shami was back for the Daredevils.
Gayle got out for a duck as Zaheer Khan induced an edge in the very first over. Then, Virat Kohli along with AB de Villiers scored another magnanimous innings of 55 (33) took off the Delhi Daredevils with a blast. They put up a partnership of 107 runs in just 11 overs for the second wicket. Kohli scored a splendid 79 runs off 48 balls. Watson also played a good cameo with a quickfire 33 off just 19.
However, in the end, RCB lost their way as they could only manage to score 27 runs in their last 4 overs losing 3 wickets. Shami was the pick of the bowlers for DD getting 2 wickets. Morris also bowled economically in the end, though he was wicketless.
On the other hand, Delhi Daredevils lost Iyer early. But it was, Quinton de Kock who led the way as he went on to score the first century of this IPL season. He smashed a magnificent knock of 108 runs from just 51 balls as the RCB bowlers had no answer to him. He was supported well by Karun Nair who scored a spectacular half-century as well.
Twitter was entertained every bits in this brilliant run chase. Right from lauding Kohli and de Kock to trolling RCB bowlers. Here are some of the spectacular tweets during the course of the RCB-DD game.
This is the highest successful run chase for DD in IPL.

Looking back, cant forget Mohammed Shami's bowling. In his comeback game 15 runs off first over & 19 off next 3 with 2 wickets. Game changer

Earlier it was wrist work of the highest quality from Kohli and now it's cover driving of highest quality from De Kock. #RCBvDD

The danger for #RCB is that this is the bowling side they have to live with. Might put pressure on the batsmen to score even more.

Well played, Karun Nair…a Bangalore boy winning it for Delhi against Bangalore in Bangalore. #RCB's bowling looking really THIN… #RCBvDD

Bowlers like H Patel and Arvind are the reason why #RCB can afford batsmen like Gayle, Kohli and AB in their team.
