In what was a run fest at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Team India went on to win a thriller and also sealed the series 2-0 with the last match to play. Earlier in the day, it was captain Eoin Morgan who won the toss as England decided on to field first. India were off to a poor start.
KL Rahul was dismissed cheaply while the man in-form Virat Kohli also edged one down. Shikhar Dhawan continued his run drought as India were left reeling at 25/3 with MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh at the crease. What followed was a magnificent 256-run partnership for the third wicket by India’s most formidable pair, Yuvraj, and Dhoni.
Yuvraj Singh displayed a stellar effort as he went on to smash 150 runs off just 127 balls which had 21 boundaries and 3 sixes. Dhoni on the other hand, had a slow start but he brilliantly outdid it with his cruise in the crease later as he scored a splendid 134 (122). Kedhar Jadhav and Hardik Pandya also played crucial cameos as India ended up scoring 381/6 in their quota of 50 overs. Chris Woakes was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4/60.
If you thought setting a target of 382 was enough on this pitch, you were absolutely wrong. After Alex Hales got out early, Jason Roy and Joe Root put on a brilliant 100-run partnership before edging one to Kohli. While Root got out scoring a half century, Jason Roy scored a fantastic 82 (73).

Moeen Ai also reached his fifty. However, it was Eoin Morgan who stole the show with a tremendous knock under pressure. An exhilarating innings of 102 runs from just 81 balls, he set the tone going as England were always in fray of the target until he got out in the penultimate over.
At the end, it was Team India who managed to pull off a splendid victory. Ashwin, Jadeja, and Bhuvi bowled really well on a pitch that had almost nothing for the bowlers. They managed to keep their nerves and achieve a victory for India.
Here are some of the amazing Twitter reactions that took place during the course of the game:

England batsmen just getting totally lost in Bhuvi's eyes and completely forgetting what they were trying to do there. He's so dreamy.

Just 110 runs in 20 overs from Ashwin and Jadeja. They've been as good a partnership today as Dhoni and Yuvraj. #INDvENG

Dhoni said to Jadeja, "Ball stumps ke beech mein rakhna." Jadeja does that in the next ball. And you see Jason Roy walking back :') #IndvEng

"If Dhoni moves up to No.4, who will then do the finishing?" You are seeing it. It's Dhoni. He will get in, he will stay, he will finish.

A century for Yuvraj Singh after 6 years and for Dhoni after 55 matches.
Possible only because Dhawan sacrificed his wicket early. Respect.

Sunil Gavaskar – It's important to middle the ball if you want to score boundaries
Dhoni – Ghanta. Bas zor se maaro.

Few greater sights in cricket than Yuvraj in full bloom. Michelangelo would have plastered him all over the Sistine Chapel if he'd seen him.

So good to see Yuvraj & Dhoni play as they r doing. Really Sheron ka zamaana hota hai…
