In the second T20 international between both the teams, India managed to outweigh Zimbabwe with a dominating victory. Zimbabwe’s captain Graeme Cremer won the toss as the hosts elected to bat first. India had both their strike bowlers Dhawal Kulkarni and Brainder Sran back for Rishi Dhawan and Jaydev Unadkat.
Zimbabwe were doing just about fine when Sran struck thrice in the fifth over. All of a sudden, the hosts were reduced to 28/4. The lower order tried to show some fight but it went in vain as Jasprit Bumrah and the spinners cashed in as the batsmen lost their way. In the end, Zimbabwe could only manage a total of 99/9 in their quota of 20 overs.
Sran was splendid as he recorded the best figures by an Indian bowler on T20I debut with 4/10. On the other hand, Bumrah was also quite lethal with 3 wickets. Kulkarni and Chahal also got a wicket as Zimbabwe set a paltry target of 100.
Mandeep Singh making his debut began the proceedings for India along with KL Rahul. While Rahul continued his sublime form with 47 (40)*, Mandeep also made amends with a half century on T20I debut. India won the match by 10 wickets with more than 6 overs to spare.
What were the talking points of the game? – Zimbabwe v India, 2nd T20I: 5 Talking Points
This was indeed a proper thrashing by India after losing the first match by 2 runs. Zimbabwe were completely foxed and outclassed by the Indian team. Sran was deservingly awarded the man of the match. Both teams will now have a final showdown in the third T20I.
Twitter kept everyone entertained with some enthralling tweets throughout one-sidedided encounter. Right from lauding Sran and Bumrah to trolling Zimbabwe batsmen, right from lauding KL Rahul to trolling Ntini, here are some of the Twitter reactions that took place during the course of the game:
There would be no news coverage now that India defeated Zimbabwe by 10 wickets.

10-wicket win, ideal way to respond to that defeat. Proper thrashing.

i think KL rahul can give Saha a run for money in the test format as well. Solid technique and ability to play the new ball might help him

That looked almost too fast for an Indian bowler. Oh right, he's a Mumbai Indians' bowler.#Bumrah #ZIMvIND

No-ball from Chahal. MS Dhoni reminds him he has bowled a no-ball for the 3rd game in this tour.

Lol! Says a lot about the quality of selection when the team panics back to its first choice playing XI against Zimbabwe.
