In one of the most fascinating games of test cricket you’d ever see, India staged an extraordinary comeback to win the second test by 75 runs and level the series 1 all. The Indians were all charged up as they took on the field.
Earlier in the day, India resumed from their overnight score of 213/4. Ajinkya Rahane went on to score a half-century before Mitchell Starc had him trapped in front of the stumps. Karun Nair was bowled first ball as Starc took wickets of consecutive balls to put India on the back foot.
Soon it was Cheteshwar Pujara who missed out on a century owing to a soft dismissal as he scored a brilliant 92. Ravichandran Ashwin also followed him back to the pavilion. India lost 4 wickets within 8 runs as Australia took firm control of the game.
Umesh Yadav got out soon but some cameo by Wriddhiman Saha and Ishant Sharma helped India add 15-20 odd runs. India got all out for 274 runs as they set a target of 188 runs for the visitors. Josh Hazlewood went on to take a six-wicket haul.
Australia, on the other hand, began steadily before Ishant got Matt Renshaw’s wicket. Ashwin then had the dangerous David Warner trapped in front of the stumps. Shaun Marsh and captain Steve Smith tried to steer Australia ahead but ended up losing their wickets to Umesh Yadav.
Ashwin had Mitchell Marsh and Mathew Wade back to the pavilion just before tea to leave the visitors reeling at 101/6. As the third session began, Ashwin and Jadeja became even more fierce and cleared the Australian lower order to swing the game in India’s favour.
Australia were bundled for 112 runs as Ashwin took a magnificent six-wicket haul. Nathan Lyon was caught and bowled by Ashwin in what marked the end of an exciting test match at the Chinnaswamy stadium. KL Rahul was announced the man of the match for some exceptional batting performance in the first innings.
Twitter was all fired up as much energetic as Virat Kohli displayed in the field today. Right from lauding Umesh Yadav & Ashwin to trolling Steve Smith and Starc.
Here are some of the amazing Twitter reactions that took place during the course of Day 4:

Ashwin is like any big brother, if you mock/abuse any of his teammates, he gives it back to you by doing the same mock/abuse.#INDvsAUS

Pujara scored 92 on a difficult pitch but he will still be criticised for his soft dismissal.
This is why it's called TEST cricket #INDvAUS

Australia have taken three wickets in six balls having not taken one in the 277 balls before that. #IndvAus
— Freddie Wilde (@fwildecricket) March 7, 2017
This match is nuts. Pujara gone, done by a Hazlewood lifter. 92 of the finest, but India's lead is only 155. Australia favourites now.
