The fans don't understand why Sanju Samson isn't getting an opportunity.

Team India has been providing Rishabh Pant with a plethora of opportunities in white-ball cricket. Deemed as the successor of MS Dhoni, the Delhi batsman, however, is hardly living up to the expectations. Rishabh Pant tasted yet another failure in the shortest format of the game. The 22-year-old was picked ahead of Sanju Samson once again for the third T20I in Mumbai.
Moreover, he was provided with a golden opportunity to bat at number three in this game. However, Virat Kohli’s sacrifice in terms of the batting position didn’t reap rewards. In this game, India got off to a flyer after they were asked to bat first. The duo of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul smashed the bowlers all around the park and scored nearly 12 runs every over. There was no respite for the bowlers whatsoever and they were all running for cover.
But in the 12th over, Kesrick Williams managed to pocket the wicket of Rohit Sharma. The vice-captain misjudged his shot slightly and ended up hitting a ball high up into the night sky. Hayden Walsh Jr. did well to settle underneath this skier and took a brilliant catch to dismiss him for 71 runs. At this stage of the innings, the plan was clearly to maintain the pressure on the bowlers. Hence, Rishabh Pant was asked to go in at number three.
Rishabh Pant throws away another wonderful opportunity
With the immense backing that he is getting, it has become a habit for Rishabh Pant to throw his opportunities away. The same happened in this game as well. Even though the stage was set for him to launch, he decided to play a reckless shot and got out for a duck. As soon as he saw Pant walk into the middle, Kieron Pollard decided to bowl. It has generally been a plan for the oppositions to attack him with a pacer.
Pollard, very intelligently, bowled one way outside the off-stump. The left-hander chased it and tried to hit it for a six. But the long-off fielder was placed slightly wider than usual and it went straight into his hands. Twitterati was dejected after yet another failure from him and lashed out at him.
Here is how Twitterati reacted:
DADA, Rishabh Pant is a worst player and burden in the team..he scores sometimes by mistake..please make exit for him from team

Enough chances for Rishabh Pant ??? Maybe time to give Sanju Samson some game time, the way Rishabh gets OUT is most concerning, @BCCI

Rishabh Pant is like those guys who don't contribute anything to the group project but ends up getting all the credit in the end. https://t.co/zd4L9kVb05
