New Zealand have produced a number of talented cricketers over the years, one of them is undoubtedly Kane Williamson, who has been a fulcrum of the Black Caps for a long time in all the formats. After making his international debut against India in 2010, he hasn’t looked back by any stretch of the imagination. At the age of 28 years, Kane has over 10,000 runs for the Kiwis.
Moreover, he has been a figure, who thrives under pressure, instead of succumbing to the same. The Tauranga-born cricketer is currently playing the three-match Test series against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). After the Black Caps edged Sarfraz Ahmed and Co by four runs in the opening match at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, they slumped to a colossal defeat in Dubai.
Williamson shines yet again
The deciding Test in Abu Dhabi is taking place and Williamson has again shown why he is regarded as one of the best in the business. In the second innings, he scored a superlative century off 154 balls. His 19th ton in the format came with the help of 12 boundaries. He came to bat after New Zealand lost their first wicket to fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi in the form of Jeet Raval.
At that point in time, the Black Caps were still trailing by 73 runs. He saw three more wickets- Tom Latham, William Somerville, and Ross Taylor- fall with his team trailing by 14 runs. However, Kane had other ideas and he smothered the bowling without much fuss whatsoever. The right-handed batsman, along with Henry Nicholls, put his down and bailed their team out of jail.
The Pakistani bowlers tried their hearts out to run through Williamson, but their efforts went in vain. In the first ball of the 66th over, the batsman punched Hasan Ali for a boundary through the covers to accomplish the milestone. In the meantime, Twitter can’t stop heaping accolades on Williamson for churning out yet another superlative knock under pressure.

If Kane Williamson played for one of the big cricket nations he'd be regarded as one of the finest batsmen we've ever seen. Averaging 66 in second innings over the last 5 years. Amazing talent.
