Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli has been at his prime for the entire season, he has made sure people are out of adjectives to praise him any longer. He started off without a single double ton to his name but with four Tests still in hand Virat has already rewritten history as he became the first batsman to score four double hundreds in a season.

He walked out to bat when the team was in a pretty decent situation, Murali Vijay at one end was batting well and Cheteshwar Pujara had just got out for 83 after the duo added 188 runs for the third wicket. There was little assistance from the surface for the bowlers but the way Virat batted was unbelievable, the ease with which he was scoring his runs was a treat to watch.

At tea, on the first day, he had 17 runs to his name and switched gears in the last session with Ajinkya Rahane by him. In no time he was over the fifty-run mark and before the close of play on the day he had already scored his 16th Test hundred. He ended the day unbeaten on 111 and definitely looked good for something bigger.

Earlier in his career, Virat was accused of not converting his hundreds into big daddy tons and here he was playing like a dream, stroking the ball all around the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. He scored runs at a brisk rate but had not hit a single risk shot, there was no six and he was getting runs at will.

One got a feeling that the bowling was maybe a bit too meek to challenge him as it appeared that Virat was sleep scoring his runs. In the 190s he was given out but DRS came to his aid as the ball was spinning a bit too much and was going down the leg side. On 199 when Mushfiqur got the fielders in, he went down the wicket and lofted it in the air and off she went for a boundary with that, King Kohli reached yet another double ton, the fourth in consecutive series.

Here is Twitter hailing the man who is amidst a dream of dream runs:
