Opener Kraigg Brathwaite continued his stupendous batting form and followed his fabulous century in the first innings with an unbeaten 60 runs knock to help West Indies chase down the modest target of 154 and finish the Test series with a 2-1 score line.
West Indies ended day four with a historic win in their sight after bowling out Pakistan for just 208 in the second innings. Skipper Jason Holder led from the front with match-defining figures of 5/30 along with leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo who shared the spoils with him, claiming 3/46.
West Indies coming out to chase the target had a shaky start after Yasir Shah and fast bowler Wahab Riaz struck with the crucial top order wickets. Opener Leon Johnson, Darren Bravo and Marlon Samuels all were made to depart by Yasir Shah. The leg-spinner struck at regular intervals and kept the Windies fans nervous. To make things tricky for the West Indies, Riaz snapped Jermaine Blackwood and Roston Chase in the last session.
Fortunately, Brathwaite and wicket-keeper Shane Dowrich ensured that there was no more anxious moment and rallied their team safely toward the win and ended the fourth day with 114/5 at the scoreboard. Victory was close as the visitors required only 30 runs on the final day to win the match. The overnight batsmen made no mistake and calmly finished the job five-wicket in hand to hand their skipper Holder his first win as Test captain.
The series which started on a disastrous note for the visitors after getting clean swept in the 50 overs and the T20- format, ended sweetly with this win (Although it was late). Kraigg Brathwaite was named the Man of the Match while leg-spinner Yasir Shah, the leading wicket-taker of the series, was named Man of the Series.
Brilliant effort from Kraigg Brathwaite who made 142* and 60*. He was on the field for every ball of this Test match #PAKvWI

Misbah: That was a batting paradise and we just collapsed in both innings. You need to get at least 350 in the first innings. #PAKvWI
