Australia has been clean swept by Pakistan in the three-match T20I series in UAE. Just like in the previous two games, the visitors hardly put up any fight with the bat. All their batsmen have succumbed in what should have been an easy win for their standards. They lost the match by 33 runs and have ended the tour with a dismal performance. Pakistan’s performance in this series was just terrific and their bowlers deserve a special mention for some great show.

Pakistan have their total in the 145-155 range once again

Pakistan won the toss for the second consecutive time and opted to bat first. Sahibzada Farhan and Usman Khan were given a chance in the XI for the last game of the series. The openers, Babar Azam and Farhan, steered the side to a good start. They added 93 runs for the opening wicket before the latter got out for almost a run-a-ball 39. Azam too got out soon after he got to 50.

With the assistance of an unbeaten 20-ball 32 from Mohammad Hafeez and a 12-ball 18 from Shoaib Malik, the hosts put up exactly 150 runs on the board after losing five wickets. Nathan Lyon, who was playing only his second T20I picked his maiden scalp in the form of Farhan, who was also playing his second game. Mitchell Marsh accounted to two wickets in the only over that he bowled.

Australia stab themselves in the back

The Aussies yet again had a tough time in the chase. It was Alex Carey who walked out into the middle to bat along with Aaron Finch in this game. He did provide the side with a good start as he scored 20 runs in the first over. However, the visitors could not pull off anything inspiring after that. The batsmen kept walking back one after the other to the pavilion.

Ben McDermott, for the third consecutive time, was dismissed in the form of a run-out. Also, Glenn Maxwell, who looked good in the last match was dismissed after he scored 4 runs. Australia was bowled out for 117 runs in 19.1 overs. Shadab Khan picked up three wickets in his four overs.

Pakistani fans were thrilled with this clean sweep. The side has not only retained the number one rank but has done that in a great fashion. Twitterati was all praise for the team while the Australians ended the tour on a very disappointing note.
