Twitter Reactions: Rahul makes ton amidst an even stevens 1st day: After India won the toss and elected to bat they got off to a poor start as they lost Murali Vijay in the 1st over of the match. And when Rahane who was sent at the no.3 position ahead of Rohit Sharma, got out India were in a spot of bother. But that brought Captain Kohli to the crease and along with KL Rahul he started rebuilding the innings. The duo of Rahul and Kohli looked in fine touch and took India out of trouble with their valiant partnership of 164 runs for the 3rd wicket. Rahul made his 2nd century in Tests while Kohli (78) got out to a brilliant catch by Mathews.
Rohit Sharma who was the butt off many jokes and trolls after the 1st Test came back strongly and hammered 5 fours and 3 sixes en route to his 79 run knock. India ended the 1st day at 319-6. Rangana Herath and Dhammika Prasad took two wickets each.
Here are the Twitter Reactions: Rahul makes ton amidst an even stevens 1st day:

Other Indian batsmen can learn from Lokesh Rahul. Hardly plays outside off stump. Proper batsman. #slvind
