The Rising Pune Supergiants took on the Delhi Daredevils at Vishakapatnam. Captain MS Dhoni won the toss as RPS elected to field first. While Pune brought in Deepak Chahar, DD again made 3 changes as they had Shreyas Iyer, Nathan Coulter-Nile and Mohammad Shami coming in for them.

Batting first, Daredevils were off to a patchy start as they lost both their openers, Quinton de Kock and Iyer early. Karun Nair looked to hang on with a run a ball 41 while the rest of the batting lineup faltered against the disciplined on the night RPS bowlers. Chris Morris’ onslaught in the last over meant DD bowlers could at least give some fight.

Delhi Daredevils ended up scoring just 121/6 in their quota of 20 overs. Ashok Dinda and Adam Zampa were the pick of the bowlers as they picked 3 wickets each and were also economical. Rising Pune Supergiants had an easy total in their hands and didn’t disappoint.

They began well with Ajinkya Rahane and Usman Khawaja delivering some good shots. George Bailey looked to support Rahane as Pune cruised towards a successful run chase. The match was interrupted due to rain and the home team went on to win by 19 runs by the D/L method.

For Delhi, Morris got the lone wicket of Khawaja while the rest of the bowling could do quite little as they hardly had a total to defend. Ashok Dinda was announced the man of the match for his superb bowling.

Twitter kept everyone entertained with some splendid tweets throughout the RPS-DD game. Right from lauding Dinda to trolling DD changes, right from lauding Zampa to trolling the field incidents, here are some of the Twitter reactions that took place during the course of the game:
