Shakib Al Hasan underlined his value to the Bangladesh side and produced a masterclass with the willow to help his side beat Zimbabwe in the 2nd ODI of the three-match ODI series between the two sides. The batting veteran scored a composed 96* off 109 deliveries to guide his team to a 3-wicket victory over the opposition.
The Bangladesh side kept losing wickets at regular intervals, and when the Tigers were reduced to 173/7, it looked as if Zimbabwe might pull off an upset. But then, a sensational 69-run unbeaten partnership between Shakib and Mohammad Saifuddin ensured that the Bangladesh side went past the target without any hiccups.
Luke Jongwe was the pick of the bowlers for the Zimbabwe side. The right-arm pacer scalped 2 wickets in the 8 overs that he bowled, and gave away 46 runs.

After the last ODI international, I saw some people were discussing how Shakib is just only a bowling all-rounder. The man didnβt take much time to reply back, as usual. What a matured & composed innings in the pressure situation from him.
Hated. Adored. But never ignored! π
