The first day of the 1st Test match between Australia and West Indies witnesses a bizarre moment when Shannon Gabriel bowled a massive no-ball in the 13th over of the day’s play. It missed the crease by a foot and slided another foot after impact. It was Gabriel’s second no-ball in two overs. He bowled a fuller next up, and it was sent to the fence by Steve Smith. He bowled 10 overs, giving away 59 runs while picking up the important wicket of Joe Burns.

The pitch wore a greenish look, as Australia stumbled to 121-3 at one stage, but Shannon Gabriel turned out to be the lone wicket taker, when it comes to pacers, as Jomel Warrican scalped 2 vital sticks. Before the game, Kemar Roach was excited about the green track, as the bowlers expected early movement and assistance in the firs day.

“There aren’t many wickets in the world like that. So it’s good to see that for a change. I’m pretty excited to get a go on Thursday,” said Roach, who when asked whether he thought the pitch would have the same appearance come day one was almost willing it to be the case.

“Yeah, I think so. I know Australians play very hard cricket and they believe in what they do, so that’s what they give us, and that’s what we’re going to take.” he added.

The talk of the day was certainly the big no-ball that was bowled by the “Windies” pacer. Let’s take a look at how the cricket fans reacted to it.
