Twitter Reactions: SRH clinch a thriller as RPS bow out of the IPL

Sunrisers Hyderabad took on the Rising Pune Supergiants in another thrilling encounter at Vishakapatnam. Captain David Warner won the toss as SRH elected to bat first. Both teams were unchanged from their last game.

Batting first, Sunrisers lost the man in form Warner early. Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson took over from there but weren’t able to convert their starts. The RPS spinners turned back them into the game as they got wickets at regular intervals. On the other hand, SRH batsmen failed to accelerate.

In the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad could only manage 137/8 with Adam Zampa recording the best bowling figures for this season as he got 6/19. Ravichandran Ashwin also bowled a great spell as RPS seemed to clinch this.

Pune lost Ajinkya Rahane and Usman Khawaja early as SRH gained momentum early into the innings. Ashwin was promoted to no.4 as he along with George Bailey took RPS to a safer situation. For Hyderabad Ashish Nehra and Mustafizur Rahman were brilliant as they ended up securing a 4-run win against Pune. MS Dhoni did bring some chills into the game with a six in the last over but was run out on the penultimate ball by Yuvraj Singh.
