Twitter Reactions: Twitterati absolutely loved 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' trailer

Cricketers in India are not just loved but are quite literally worshiped as it is quite rightly said that cricket is not just a game in India, it is a religion. It was evident as the much awaited and highly anticipated trailer of biopic of India’s limited overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was released on Thursday.

The trailer of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story was released by the filmmakers which instantly went viral on all social media platforms. Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput is playing the role of MS Dhoni in the biopic, while Kiara Advani is playing the star cricketer’s wife Sakshi Dhoni in the biopic.

Ever since the teaser of the movie, there has been a huge buzz all over the nation. Not just from his fans, but media and other cricketers have been eagerly waiting to see Dhoni’s life unfold on celluloid. The film covers his successes and the entire cricketing career. It is ironic as the biopic is releasing even before MS Dhoni’s retirement.

Releasing the trailer on his Twitter account Dhoni tweeted, “As I walked the path, the journey became my life. Here’s a glimpse of it.”

The trailer had more than 2,700,000 views on YouTube within a 12 hours of its release.

The launch of the trailer though saw a massive response from Dhoni’s fans as the tweets went out with hashtag #MSDhoniTrailer and many even congratulated Sushant Singh for the successful launch of it. Here is how Twitter reacted to the occasion.
