The complications between Virat Kohli and Anil Kumble continues to surprise us as we witnessed another surprising incident on Wednesday. Captain Virat Kohli removed his welcome tweet from Twitter which he had posted a year ago after the legendary leg-spinner was appointed as the Indian head coach.
Anil Kumble took up the role of the Indian head coach on June 23, 2016, after which the Indian skipper took to his Twitter handle to express his happiness. In his tweet, Kohli wrote “Heartiest welcome to @anilkumble1074 Sir. Look forward to your tenure with us. Great things in store for Indian Cricket with you.”
Proving Kohli’s words right, Anil Kumble had a flawless term as the Indian coach and brought gigantic success to the country. But complications between the two arose during the recently concluded Champions Trophy as Virat Kohli was believed to be unhappy with the retired cricketer’s style of management. As a result, Kohli stood firm on his demands for a new face in the position which lead to Kumble’s stepping down with dignity. He resigned on June 20 after the completion of his one-year contract with the BCCI.

The very next day after Kumble’s resignation, Virat Kohli deleted the gratifying tweet he posted a year ago when Kumble was appointed the coach. This got the fans lose their mind and Virat Kohli became a subject of immense criticism. Fans expressed their frustration and hatred for Kohli on the social media platform as Twitter was flooded with tweets about the same.
