Twitter Reactions: Virender Sehwag celebrates Shoaib Akhtar’s birthday on Twitter

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag and Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar were fierce rivals on the field. The two more often than not spiced up the India v Pakistan contests with their individual brilliance. Though they hail from two nations who are not best of friends rather don’t enjoy each other’s neighborhood but over the years have become really good friends.

Commentating together did help them a great deal as Shoaib and Viru were both a part of the Hindi commentary panel during the World T20 in India. They spent a lot of time debating and making fun of each other on the mic and that hasn’t stopped ever after. Sehwag being the more proactive one on Twitter has had special birthday wishes for everyone and when it was time for Shoaib’s birthday, he made plans last night and told all his fans to be ready for the celebration.

Viru started the hashtag #ShoaibKiBirthdayViruKiParty and his fans have obliged and Tweets have been pouring in with the # since morning and is one of the most trending topics on Twitter.

He started it all posting a picture of one of Shoaib’s wicket celebrations and added this caption along – ‘Happy Birthday @shoaib100mph ,Chalti Firti Titanic, Doobiyo Mat. #IndiaIsGreat #ShoaibKiBirthdayViruKiParty’. He called him a chalti firti Titanic which a depiction of the way he celebrated after scalping a wicket.
