The Indian team has seen some great batting partnerships over the years. Pairs like Laxman-Dravid and Tendulkar-Dravid have revealed in our hearts since years. When it comes to limited-overs international, you hear Sehwag-Sachin and Yuvraj-Dhoni.

Just when you might have thought that we had seen the last of this combination, you were so absolutely wrong. Yes, we had a huge demonstration of the vintage Yuvi-MSD days in today’s game. We had already seen a trailer during the warmups when both batsmen hit half centuries.

At 25/3, with the prime batsman and captain Virat Kohli back to the pavilion, very few would’ve thought that India would even cross 250. However, cometh the hour cometh the pair. Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni recovered India from the early slump as if we were back to 2011.

Yuvraj Singh went on to score a century, his first in almost 6 years. It was an emotional moment for someone who came back from cancer and his cricketing career has never been the same ever since. Lots of ups and downs and the fighter managed his way out. He went on to smash 150 runs off just 127 balls which had 21 boundaries and 3 sixes.

Dhoni, on the other hand, had a slow start but he brilliantly outdid it with his cruise in the crease later. His first century in more than 3 years, MS Dhoni went on score a scintillating 134 runs from 122 balls which had 10 boundaries and 6 sixes. It was as if the man had regained his Midas touch with the bat.

What more, the partnership between Yuvraj and Dhoni for the third wicket was a magnificent 256 runs, their best ever. Twitter was awestruck with the two stalwarts continuing to grace the field with the bat for more than a decade.

Here are some of the amazing Twitter reactions that took place on the Yuvraj-Dhoni partnership:
