Twitter reacts after Michael Vaughan's another crazy comment on the Chennai pitch
Michael Vaughan's statements on pitch continues.
Former England skipper and commentator Michael Vaughan is known for being too vocal about his opinions in the cricket world. However, more often, he invites all the criticism for himself after making some irrelevant or controversial statements. He was already amid too much heat when he stated that India will be whitewashed by Australians on their home soil last month. However, with changing situations, his statements also kept on taking the u-turn.
In the current series going between India and England, the former skipper is again all open about his thoughts. The 2nd Test is being played at Chennai, where he stated that the Chennai pitch is not at all good for 5-day cricket. However, Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar and fans on Twitter gave him back in all the style. He is back yet again to make a comment on the pitch.
On the third day of the 2nd Test match, ace spinner Ravi Ashwin flaunted his class after he smashed a stunning century. He was already ruling the game with the ball, but his show with the bat stunned one and all. After Ashwin’s masterclass, the former Englishman tweeted- “This pitch is a road.”
The fans on the microblogging site got a chance again to give him back, and landed amid all the trolls and comments. Some of the fans stated that Ashwin is better than half of England’s batting lineup, while others told him how he has been putting his irrelevant opinions about the pitch and game in recent times.
Here is how Twitter blasted Michael Vaughan this time
It was after the conclusion of the first Test only that he started saying that why didn’t India present a signed jersey to their skipper Joe Root, who was playing his 100th Test match. India presented a signed jersey to Nathan Lyon next month last month after sealing the Border-Gavaskar series. The 46-year-old was of the opinion that Indians did so only after winning the high-profile series, and they forgot everything once they lost the match on their home soil.
